NT710 has all the same functions as NT530. As a tablet device, it does not need a Windows computer to update any more, just connect it to a stable Wi-Fi. Bought the Infiniti software. Already fixed two issue on my q50. 1 - Read Transmission fluid temp during fluid flush to get the proper level. 2 - Reset the Flat Tire - Visit Dealer warning. Had flat tire replaced, but tire shop couldn’t reset the warning. Connected the reader and the warning was reset automatically.

Setup, registration, software download was easy and no glitches. Update process for new versions of firmware is likewise well designed and glitch free. Scanned my 2015 Dodge Challenger with no known problems the unit found history of several communications issues. Shortly after getting the car in 2015 I had a performance monitor connected to the OBDII port and while driving the connector on tuner came loose and disrupted the CAN bus. I had no idea there was stored history of this event or how many vehicle systems were affected. I was able to clear the history easily. Also I used the NT710 to access and operate the abs unit on a 2010 Jeep Liberty in order to bleed the brake system after service. So far I am impressed with the amount of information available and number of functions available. I have not experienced any software bugs, communication problems, lock ups, etc with the unit.

Well I have not used it to diagnose or do brake work yet (main reason for buying it) but I can tell by the way it responds and how the software operated during setup, registration and updating, plus how it feels in my hands and the quality of the display, that it "should" be all it is cracked up to be.

So far it has worked great on my Ford Mustang and both Chevy Pickup trucks. For the Mustang it showed background codes that hadn't tripper the check engine light yet but where there was an occasional problem. Fixed the issue. Also able to do a thorough brake bleed on the anti-lock brakes on one of the trucks. Great tool so far!

Works well on my 2006 Mercedes S430. Easy to set up and get working. I would rate it 5 stars except for 2 minor items. 1) The USB-C cable works fine, but my other USB-C cables don't work, so it seems that it is a non-standard cable. 2) The OBD2 to Foxwell cord would be better if it were about 12 - 18 inches longer. I still would buy it again.

The NT710 is advertised as the “NT530 upgrade” but the The NT530 has coding capabilities. I bought the NT710 but for me, this model is a downgrade and I would not recommend it if Foxwell does not update the software to allow coding. Will the NT710 software be updated to allow for coding?

Purchased the NT710 after purchasing and returning other scan tools that advertised to display live transmission temperature on a wide range of years of Toyota vehicles. This tool has displayed the transmission temperature on a 2011 Camry, 2016 Rav4, 2018 Highlander and 2023 Rav4. Last night had a code on the 2016 Rav4 with the Evap and that was really the tool's first test and it passed with flying colors. You can select what tests to run in live mode however unless you are a mechanic one would have to research to really know what you are looking at. I definitely would buy again based on what I saw so far.

I own both an NT530 and now an NT710. I bought the NT710 based on Foxwell saying it's an upgraded NT530. Unfortunately - it isn't. At least with the Porsche software. Some functions that can be done (programming for instance) on the NT530 Porsche module cannot be done on the NT710 with the Porsche module. The NT710 has a far superior user interface, and is much easier and nicer to use - but it's missing some things people expected based on the NT530 Porsche software. That's a disappointment to me and many people I'm in contact with. The NT710 also cannot perform the "brake bleed" ABS function that the NT530 can do. The option is there, but it's broken and doesn't work. Foxwell told me these features will be added in a future software update - until that happens I'd only suggest people consider the NT710 for diagnostics use (which it does well, and is much easier to do than on the NT530.) Currently, if you own a Porsche and are looking for a tool capable of changing some programmable modules' operation/function, the only Foxwell answer is the NT530.

Seems like a really comprehensive scan tool. I got it to do an ABS brake bleed on a Toyota Tacoma. It keeps saying the function failed, so now I have to take my truck to the dealer. Besides not being able to complete the sole function I bought it for, it seems like a very handy tool to have.

The unit cleared an SRS code on a 2021 Sprinter after removing the seat. I'm not sure what the extra "benz" accessory was for because the adapter wasn't necessary to connect with the OEM OBDII diagnostic port. Less expensive than taking it to the dealership.

I really have had a positive experience with this NT710. I was able to reset the transfer case actors on my BMW X3, read codes at a dealership level, and do so without the expense and time required to go to the dealership. Doing this does take a bit of time (15 minutes or so). It doesn’t read everything in an instant. But it does read accurately and consistently. I do recommend this tool to friends.

The 710 is great. I’m a little miffed about having to buy more Honda software when the older NT510 had lifetime Honda software. That device died and is no longer supported. I guess lifetime doesn’t really mean lifetime.

I was impressed with the Foxwell N710 scanner. IT was pretty simple to setup, the update feature is nice, does a vehicle scan quickly, and having a battery powered scanner is great. I like everything but I need larger font sizes, having less than prefect eye sight. Not everything is up sized when I went to the 1.6x scale. I would like at least a 2x or 3x scale font size on everything. But so far I am really liking the N710 scanner. I hope to add some more software in the future. I thought the price was the best option for a very powerful bidirectional OE-equipment tool.

Would love to show it in action but I'm on the road now. I purchased this unit specifically for one function: to bleed the ABS unit on a 2003 Honda Element EX. It worked flawlessly. I purchase the NT710 to replace my NT510 elite. The NT710 scanner is better than I imagined and my experience with Foxwell when purchasing it was amazing. The answered all my question in a timely manner, helped me select the best model, and also transferred all of my old vehicle licenses. The scanner is extremely user friendly and is made of excellent quality materials. The protective carrier case also allows for all of the cables and accessories to be stored in one convenient and sturdy carrier case. Absolutely love it! Purchased it for my 2013 Mercedes. It has paid itself off in the first use, while diagnosing a failed airmatic compressor. 3 DTCs led me in the right direction. A new compressor later and I am still way cheaper than if I took it to a dealer. Very pleased.

Much more than I expected. It has greater capability than I thought. I have a newer (2021) vehicle and not too many competitors have their software ready yet, and Foxwell does, and this tool has it! At first I needed to contact support because some of what has to be done intially was not clear to me. The support was excellent, and they got me going in minutes. It boots up fast, and generally performs most all of what you ask very quickly. Excellent tool overall, but especially for the price.

Finally, after 3 years, I can resolve the Airbag Light on the dash of my 2007 Porsche 911 and save the $200 the dealership was going to charge me for 5 minutes work to resolve it. Before this purchase, I was using my laptop.. some old BMW software and a USB to OBD cable. This Foxwell unit makes my life so much easier! The wifi updates and printable reports made this particular model perfect for me. The only negative I can offer is the battery doesn’t last more than a few hours, so keep it plugged in overnight.
